Dear Praying Friends,
Well, I have decided two things today: 1, truck drivers deserve more respect than they get. And 2… I don’t want to be one! Today finds us in the middle of the longest roadtrip we have attempted thus far on deputation: 5 days of driving from Cincinnati to home, home to Tucson AZ, and Tucson to Los Angeles CA.
I’m excited about the meetings ahead of us this month, and for more than just the chance to get out of the car. God has really been good to us in opening doors to present our ministry in wonderful churches!
PRAISES:
- We now have a reliable minivan! I wanted to say a huge thank you to Tim Ellison, owner of “Mr Godwrench” in West Chester OH for setting us up with a much nicer vehicle than we would have been able to afford without hisĀ help. Also a huge thank you to Bible Baptist in Fairfield OH, and Hilltop Baptist in Cincinnati for special love offerings to help! We are only $1000 away from it being totally paid for, praise the Lord!
- 3 new supporters since the last prayer letter! We have 36 regular supporters with many more promised down the road.
- Melissa had her first Dr’s appointment a couple weeks ago, and all looks great so far with the pregnancy! Only a few late night runs to the grocery store for strange cravings… And those were mine, not Melissa’s.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Pray for more opportunities to share the Gospel. I really have some people on my heart right now that God has crossed our path with, some I have already shared Christ with, some I am praying for a chance soon.
- Pray for our annual missions event, the Our Generation Summit at the end of this next month. I am thrilled to be teaching a class on why the King is not dead in Europe. Regardless of common opinion, calling it the “missionary graveyard”, etc, I know God has big plans to shake Europe (and the rest of the world) with His Gospel. I have seen many young people (and older) surrender their lives to be used in missions at this event in the past, please pray that God will work in great ways for His glory! To see more about this event, check out www.BCWE.org.
Your prayers, friendship, and support mean more to us than I can express in a short letter. God bless!
Yours for His Harvest,
Scott, Melissa, Elena, and name-to-be-determined Newton

Scott and Melissa,
Boy do I know what you mean, Us on the road and traveling the highways to help our son who owns a long distance haul business. We are wanna be retired, but don’t want to just sit around. You see a lot of GOD’s great outdoors, but it is sure rough on the bottom, (sitting). Happy traveling
Haha… You have my empathy. Thanks for the prayer!
